Re: I can’t cope

If you feel like you really can't keep well, PLEASE contact 000. @Captain24

In New York, I went to the 9/11 memorial museum. I was there for hours. It was incredible to see the whole thing from beginning to end. I remember that day sooo clearly. As a kid, I didn't understand the impact of 9/11, but later, I did.

I also saw Statue of Liberty. I went to Times Square. I got the kid's photo printed on a container of m&m's for them.

I saw Brooklyn bridge.

I'm not really one to go sight seeing much... so it doesn't really phase me.

My neice? She kept tracking me on her ipad. She knew exaclty where I was because of Find My on iphones. We were in contact the whole time, even when I was on the plane. The plane allows imessaging. So she sorta went on the trip with me lol. She even knew when I was flying over Fiji!

And she called everyday. I took her for a walk aroudn Florida lol. Took her to the beach too.

I've been so comfy sleeping in my own bed that I got so annoyed with her that she slept with me this weekend. I told her not to come over again.. but she still ended up in my bed.

She's not here tonight though. She's at her place because of school... so at least she's not with me every night.

With Pix, maybe she's just got a sensitve stomach and can't eat much? We are so so careful with Ruby because she has a sensitve stomach.

Re: I can’t cope

I won’t but if it gets to outta control and I can’t cope I will tell you @tyme

That sounds amazing. I remember that day too. I was living and working on the coast and in my 20’s. The fear surrounding it like it could happen again anywhere at anytime.

That sounds so cool, to see them in person. I like sightseeing but I don’t go anywhere.

That’s awesome that she followed you. Technology has come so far. I love that she called everyday. The excitement will be something she will remember.

Was the beach in Florida as good as Aussie beaches?

I’m so glad you are getting the bed to yourself. It must be nice. So she is in her own bed school nights now? That gives you a break.

Yeah Pix has a sensitive stomach but I am changing up her food after she got sick to try and help with it. She is doing sort of ok.

This was screened at the memorial museum... it gave me shivers, yet it also shows the power of community coming together in times of crisis.

The beach I stayed at in Florida was a private beach owned by the resort. It was massive and lovely because there weren't that many people. They had a giant inflatable slide too lol. I went on it. It was good.

And yes, we were far away in distance, but technology meant she was in my pocket. She sleeps in her own bed. She's got a double bed and yes, she's in her bed on school nights. I can't have her with me.

Poor Pix. I hope her stomach is okay. Runny poos are horrible.

Re: I can’t cope

Wow….. that was amazing. @tyme. Ive never heard about that. That’s awe inspiring.

I love that you went on the slide! I would have too. A private beach sounds so quiet and relaxing. Sounds like a great trip. Did you learn lots as week?

She has had many butt washes! She knows when she needs a wash cause she runs and hides from me. I have to trick her to catch her.

Re: I can’t cope

It was a really great trip. Certainly so much to learn. Nothing like home though. The people over there would LOVE to come to Aust. @Captain24

Poor Pix... she sounds traumatised. Does she like baths in general? How do you 'trick' her?

Re: I can’t cope

So many people would love to come here @tyme. When I stayed with my host families in Spain and Ireland they wanted to come over but they all said it was too far. It’s a long way and expensive. They go for weekends away in another country. Not a whole weekend to get somewhere.

She’s a pain in the arse. She’s good once you get here in the bath but catching her is hell. I have to hide the fact that I’m getting the bath ready. When I sit on the lounge she wants to get up so I try that and grab her. If I’m sitting outside she comes for a pat so I have to snatch her up. She also likes to lay on my dirty clothes in my room so I try and grab her from there. Sometimes I have to give up and just wait for the right moment!

Re: I can’t cope

That's hectic @Captain24 !

You may need to put her on a leash and then get the bath ready. She's smart.

How's Jett going?

Re: I can’t cope

She is smart. @tyme. To smart for her own good.

Jetts just being Jett. He is so cute. He has to be near me at all times! Sometimes when I’m going to sleep we lay and look into each others eyes. He isn’t very smart though. He hates the bath but I bath Pix first and then give her a treat. Jett waits for his but I pick him up and put him in the bath. He hasn’t learnt yet and it’s been 18 months!

Re: I can’t cope

Too cute @Captain24 . Jett's a baby and always will be.

I'm wrapping up now, but I wanted to ask how your bday was? Did you end up getting food from your mum?

Re: I can’t cope

Yeah. They got me dim sims and curried prawns. @tyme. My day was ok. Work was a bit all over the place but it is what it is. Dad pasted on Facebook. ‘A few years ago a little ray of sunshine came into my life’ so that was nice.

Mum posted a cute photo of Pix and Jett. I’ll show you on Wednesday.

Have a good few days and I’ll see you during the week.
