Re: oRe: Progress..

@tyme @Asgard

Well, I'm sorry for not posting. My ex reneged about leaving and things have been chaotic. To say the least. I have been, and still am going though grief, anger, and a lot of sadness. I am with family, and moving into a new place next week.

@Asgard hope you're good.

@tyme you were right about the loss part

Re: oRe: Progress..

Hugs @Alice10 ,

It sounds so so hard for you.

Please know we are here for you.

Let us know how you go.

Your feelings are valid. You have every right to feel this way. The pain is real.

Hugs.

Re: oRe: Progress..

Hi @tyme

Thanks mate. Appreciate it. I have moved house fully now. I'm much happier, and yes, I do feel pretty sad about losing a beautiful house, and a relationship, but we were fighting an uphill battle 💔. And he was abusive.

I'm doing ok, mostly I'm bright and cheerful and positive. I feel a bit like a fish out of water in new surrounds, but even that is subsiding quickly. Thanks again for wondering..and asking if I was ok.

Cheers,

Alice. PS. Keep in touch.

Re: oRe: Progress..

You are doing your best @Alice10 .

Not many would be willing to totally uproot, just like that. You've shown a lot of courage, and it is such an inspiration to see you stay positive.

At the same time, I don't want to dismiss how difficult it can be.

Do you feel quite lonely being at home? Or do you have people you can reach out to when you are at home?

Thinking of you.

Re: oRe: Progress..

Hi @tyme thanks for that. I do feel lonely at home sometimes but I've moved to an area I've lived before so people are getting in touch to have coffees, dinners, etc. But yes, the actual home thing is sometimes hard, because he was (apart from whatever else) always there.

But anyway, I think I'm doing well, and I haven't gotten around to going back to psychologist but I will now. I appreciate your support. Kind wishes, Alice.

Re: oRe: Progress..

In a way, it's good to hear that you do have people you can connect with where you are now @Alice10 I hope they are supportive.

How are you feeling in yourself since the move? I recognise there can be a lot of mixed emotions.

Please continue reaching out. We are here for you.

Re: Thnx for tagging me.

Hi @tyme

Thanks for reminding me about the chat tonight on Apathy etc. I was out tonight, but I signed up for email updates about chats...

I bet it was interesting tonight.

It was a bit timely, the fact that the topic was apathy or not feeling enjoyment etc. Atm, i feel enjoyment when I'm around others, talking etc, but I'm also feeling very sad and even grief. I think the grief is for the (false) security I had. There was a sense of order and containment. Anyway, thanks for reaching out.

Actually just checking was the chat tonight or is it Thursday night that it's on?

Cheers mate.

Alice.

PS. I spent the weekend, 4 nights actually, at a writer's retreat with 20 other women. It was incredible to hear people's stories of their lives, and connect with others.

I think I'm struggling after such a big positive peak experience. I'm ok though.

Re: Thnx for tagging me.

Hey @Alice10 , the chat is on every Thursday.  We have a different topic.

On Sunday, we also have a live chat but it's generally relaxed and just chill.

The writer's retreat sounds really interesting! How did you find it?
