Distinguishing between what you can and can't control can be really tough! @Dimity Particularly if you are feeling exhausted (you are absolutely not stupid, ignorant, or lazy!).
I can hear your mind and body are going through a lot, so please be extra gentle with yourself.
Do lists of practical steps you can take help at all? 💛

@AuntGlow once upon a time I used to make stepwise lists. At the moment my blankness and brain fog make it hard . Steps are towards something (what?) Or you visualise an endpoint and work backwards. I've pondered this at various times and all I can think of is that if I cull and simplify enough I might (re)discover a worthwhile core to rebuild from. That could be a strategy for the house.
My fractured family and the difficult decisions I have to make about them are another matter. In thinking about it and talking to them a lot of trauma is resurfacing. I came across a tool I downloaded from a place called Justice Connect that's a questionnaire that might help walk me through some of the things to think about.
