I’m really struggling.

Even my dogs are annoying me.

Im not ok

Re: I can’t cope

Hello @Captain24. I am so sorry things are feeling vulnerable for you tonight. Would you like to talk more about how you're feeling? I am here with you. 💛

Re: I can’t cope

Hey @Captain24 I'm really proud of you for taking all of those steps to look after yourself last night. It sounds like it a really hard night. How are you feeling this morning?

Re: I can’t cope

Last night was tough and today isn’t much better @Ru-bee

I have done some washing and cleaned a little bit of the kitchen but I went back to bed. It’s all to overwhelming to face.

I still don’t feel safe.

Thank you for checking in.

Re: I can’t cope

It's okay to need to retreat back to bed for a bit @Captain24 it sounds as though you already got quite a bit done today.

Do you feel safer in bed?

Re: I can’t cope

I do feel safer in bed. @Ru-bee. Plus it’s freezing cold and cloudy here today so that’s adding more to my depression. It’s a ‘feels like’ of 3 degrees an actual if 10 and the temperature is dropping. There is snow clouds in the sky.

I’ve had to get up though as the dogs need lunch. Being out of bed doesn’t feel real good.

Re: I can’t cope

It just started hailing here as I clicked reply @Captain24, but it's a bit of a weird day where the clouds keep getting blown away and letting the sun through, then 10 minutes later its dark and rainy again. Do you think it might snow where you are?

You can always return to bed after the dogs are fed right?

Re: I can’t cope

We get a bit of hail here but not too often @Ru-bee. Snow is forecast for 700 metres but we are about 350 metres. We are in valley with hills all around us so it doesn’t snow in town. However it can snow on the outskirts about 20 minutes away. Theres a hill on the way to Sydney that’s 1100 metres so it’ll snow there for sure, it’s about 45 minutes away and we will get the cold wind off it. It’s icy.

I cleaned another part of the kitchen while they had some lunch. I have so much to do but I do think bed is the most safest option. I can’t guarantee my safety while I’m out of bed.

Is that bad?

Re: I can’t cope

I think if today bed is where you are safe, then it's okay to stay in bed today @Captain24 Some days we can challenge ourselves a bit, and others we just need to do what we can to stay safe. Maybe today isn't a challenge day which is understandable because yesterday really sounds like it was. You're allowed to need time to recover after that

I sorted out the dog treats so that’s one shelf of the pantry tidied but there was too much temptation in the pantry. I kept looking at it. I did consider it so I decided that it was best for me to go back to bed. You’re right, I can’t challenge myself today. It’s not going to end well in other people’s eyes anyway. @Ru-bee
